Privacy Policy

Introduction
This document is the Privacy Policy for the Wane English application (hereinafter referred to as “the App”), developed by Sirvan Bodagh. The App is designed to help Persian and Kurdish speakers learn English. As the developer, I respect your privacy and am committed to being transparent about the information the App handles and how it is used.
1. Information I Collect
1.1. Information I Do NOT Collect
I do not collect personal information through the App. Specifically:
- I do not collect or store your name, email address, phone number, or physical address.
- The App does not require a user account or registration.
- I do not access your device identifiers, such as your IMEI, MAC address, or Advertising ID.
- I do not track your location through GPS.
- I do not use analytics or behavioral tracking services.
1.2. Information Stored Locally on Your Device
To provide the App’s features, the following data is stored only on your device and is not transmitted to my servers:
- Selected language (Persian or Kurdish)
- Selected theme (Light or Dark)
- Learning progress (words and sentences read in each lesson)
- Last position in each section
- Reminder settings
- Content cache (to improve loading speed and support offline access where available)
This locally stored data is removed when you uninstall the App, subject to your device’s operating system and data-management behavior.
1.3. Information Received by the Server
The App retrieves educational content, including vocabulary, sentences, audio files, images, and PDF documents, from my servers. During these requests:
- A fixed application token is sent to verify that requests originate from the official App.
- Your IP address may be recorded in standard server logs. These logs are used for security and troubleshooting purposes and are deleted after a short period.
- The App does not intentionally transmit personally identifiable information as part of these content requests.
2. Permissions I Request

I do not use these permissions for advertising or commercial tracking purposes.
3. Third-Party Services
The Wane English App does not use third-party advertising, analytics, or tracking services. Specifically, I do not integrate:
- AdMob or other advertising networks
- Firebase Analytics, Google Analytics, or Mixpanel
- Facebook SDK, AppsFlyer, or Adjust
- Crashlytics or external crash-reporting services
Educational content is retrieved from my own hosting server. Standard network infrastructure and service providers involved in delivering the App’s content may still process technical information, such as IP addresses, as part of normal operation.
4. Data Security
I take reasonable measures to protect information handled by the App:
- Server communication is conducted over HTTPS.
- Locally stored data is kept in the App’s private storage.
- Application token validation is used to authenticate content requests.
Although I take reasonable steps to protect data, no method of electronic storage or internet transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
5. Children’s Privacy
The Wane English App is designed for general educational use and may be suitable for children.
- The App does not require users to provide personal information.
- The App does not display advertisements.
- The App does not offer in-app purchases.
- The App does not provide features for users to communicate with strangers or other App users.
I have designed the App to minimize the handling of personal information. However, the App’s suitability for children and its compliance with applicable laws, including the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) in the United States and applicable children’s data protection requirements under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) in the European Union, depend on the App’s actual operation and applicable legal requirements.
6. User Rights
The App does not maintain user accounts or intentionally collect personal information through its educational features. Therefore, I generally do not have personal user profiles to delete.
To clear locally stored App data, you can:
- Use Settings → Developer Tools → Full App Reset, if this option is available in your development build.
- Uninstall the App from your device.
Please note that uninstalling the App removes local data but does not necessarily delete technical server logs that may already have been recorded.
7. Changes to This Policy
I may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to the App or its data practices.
If I make significant changes:
- I will update the Last updated date at the top of this page.
- I will communicate significant changes through a new App version or another appropriate method, where applicable.
